Piramal Glass has two major facilities at Kosamba and Jambusar, both of which are strategically located near three major seaports. The plants in both facilities have the latest machines and equipment sourced from reputed suppliers. For instance, the furnaces are designed by Horn, Germany; batch house by Zippe, and IS machines from Bottero. Its quality control section has VISIGLAS on-line camera inspection machines.

At Piramal Glass, quality is of paramount importance. To ensure consistency and quality, they go through a strict and sustainable quality inspection process.

Quality inspection starts at the IS machine, immediately after the bottle is formed. Here, the line operator, with the quality control checker, does hot end sampling for dimensional checks. The bottles then pass through a series of automatic and camera inspection checks by equipment like M, M-Cal, Veritas and VISIGLAS. These machines check for body defects, neck finish, bubbles, foreign matter etc.

The bottles are finally automatically shrink-wrapped, and a sample of the packed bottles is put through a QA process to check for defects.
