SCHOTT offers a broad portfolio of glass and polymer vials. The small vessels or bottles are used to store medications as liquids, powders or other forms such as capsules. They can also be sample vials e.g., for use in autosampler devices in analytical chromatography.
Glass vials from SCHOTT are made of SCHOTT Fiolax®, a pharmaceutical borosilicate glass with best properties in terms of chemical (e.g. hydrolytic) resistance and stability of medicines. They can be sterilized, they are absolutely impervious to gas, and they show very good temperature resistance.
SCHOTT TopPac® vials are made of COC (cyclic olefin copolymer) of the highest purity. They offer transparency comparable to glass. Due to their excellent barrier properties, high chemical resistance and breakage resistance, these vials are recommended for emergency drugs, vaccines, diagnostic products and contrast media.
